Micro Bakery
Conveniently located near the Botanic Gardens, this was an ideal spot to pick up brunch before going on a picnic. Here’s our order:
🥧 Sourdough Egg Tarts
💸 SGD 3.50
⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟 5/5
This was my favourite! It was especially delicious when served warm. Crispy and gooey in all the right ways, though it can get a little too oily towards the end.
🍎 Apple Galette
💸 SGD 6.50
⭐⭐ 2/5
I wanted to enjoy this, but the apple topping was a little too sour for my liking :")
🥯 Garlic Potato Ciabatta
💸 SGD 6.00
⭐⭐⭐ 3/5
This was decent, but can get a little jelak as it’s loaded with carbs. I picked it because I was craving garlic butter, but I felt there wasn’t enough garlic butter flavour. The potato chunks could also have been more evenly spread out, as the sides tasted a little plain.
☕ Latte
💸 SGD 6.00 (Not including +$1 for iced)
⭐⭐ 2/5
Latte was a little disappointing as the espresso was very mild/there was too much milk; I couldn’t really taste the coffee, even for the hot one.
It wasn’t a mind-blowing assortment of pastries and coffee, so I wasn’t impressed. That said, I’d return one day to try the mains and brownies.
