Best Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice in Singapore
I love Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice—otherwise called as Lu Rou Fan! After visiting a few Taiwanese food spots, I still think that this place serves my favourite Braised Pork Rice in Singapore.
Price-wise, it is quite affordable. The Braised Pork Rice alone costs SGD6.90, but You get the whole set meal below for just SGD13.90!
🍚 Braised Pork Rice
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟 5/5
I love it when the rice is drizzled with a generous amount of braised pork gravy - the rich, umami, fatty goodness all over the rice just makes the meal so darn appetising. This dish usually gets a bit heavy towards the end, but the portion here was just right before I got too full.
🍗 Mini Salted Crispy Chicken
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
I don’t usually enjoy deep-fried snacks, but I really liked these chicken pops! The meat is juicy, while the outside stays crispy. I didn’t get the spicy version since I can’t handle much spice - so I appreciate the non-spicy option.
🧋 Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk (50% Sugar)
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5
The dairy taste is quite strong in this milk tea. It could be due to my 50% less sugar request, but I’d prefer a more balanced flavour. Not my favourite milk tea, but definitely not the worst either.
I've been here for so many times, I've lost count. If you love Taiwanese Lu Rou Fan (braised pork rice), you must give this place a try! There are several branches across Singapore.
